My favorite place in Utrecht! Traditional Dutch! Great variety of beers and two lovely cats wandering around!!

The only place in the entirety of the Netherlands that I found more than just Apple Bandit cider, and it was actually great! I came here twice throughout my stay in Utrecht, and it was such a relaxing spot to stay. The other reviews have mentioned them, but the cats were a joy to spend time with. The atmosphere is very cosy and I only wish I could have spent more time here.

Cool bar I stumbled across from a Reddit recommendation. There was a very solid selection of beer and some snacks and sandwiches were offered (I think). The age range of people seemed fairly diverse, people were just hanging out and talking. Definitely would recommend checking out. There was at least one bar cat, which is always a welcome addition.

Shocking management. Manager came over and licked himself on top of our scarves. When asked for beer recommendations, he walked over to other bar patrons and demanded their attention instead. Terrible service. 5 stars.

The place is small and old and gives this really great vibe to be in a very typical Dutch bar. The beer assortment is really good. The service is great and you can get very good beer suggestions according to your taste.

Our group had a bizarre incident with a Karen bartender there in 2020. We went to this bar and took a seat and waited to order drinks. A person from our group, who i guess smelled like marijuana, asked the bartender for the WIFI password. The Bartender immediately started yelling at us how foreigners are ruining Utrecht, and how we just want to use their facilities for free. It was so ridiculous because we wanted to order, but we had just arrived and no one had bought drinks yet. Any normal bar would just ask 'would you like to order anything?' I am unfortunately reading that this bartender probably WAS the owner judging by his review responses and he also has harassed other people like us. Look how combative they get when responding to one-star reviews where people call him out for making offensive comments to foreigners like going on rants about other people's countries.
